Privacy Policy

1. Commitment to Data Protection
Connexions Group places great importance on preserving the confidentiality and security of the information provided by users of its websites. In this regard, we attach particular importance to the responsible management of personal data, in compliance with the laws in force, that we collect or that you provide to us.

The protection of your personal data is a priority for us. We only collect and use it in accordance with the applicable legal framework in Belgium and in the European Union, in particular the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Belgian national legislation. The purpose of this policy is to inform you about the nature, scope, and purposes of the collection, processing, and use of your personal data by the website.

2. Legal Basis for Data Processing
We collect and process your personal data only where a legal basis authorizes us to do so, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). These legal bases are detailed in the corresponding sections of this policy and can be summarized as follows:

  • Performance of a contract (Article 6.1(b) GDPR) → Management of user accounts, authentication, exchanges between users, and processing of applications.
  • Explicit consent (Article 6.1(a) GDPR) → Use of analytical and personalization cookies, as well as any processing requiring your voluntary authorization.
  • Legal obligation (Article 6.1(c) GDPR) → Retention of data required for accounting, tax, and regulatory obligations.
  • Legitimate interest (Article 6.1(f) GDPR) → Site security, fraud prevention, and service improvement.

For more details on the legal basis applicable to a specific processing activity, we invite you to consult the relevant sections of this policy or to contact us at: support@contrato-trabajo.es.

3. Collection and Use of Personal Information

3.1 What Data Do We Collect?
We may collect different categories of personal information when you provide it to us voluntarily:

  • Your contact details (name, email address, telephone number, etc.), particularly when sending emails or when submitting personal information while creating an account on Contrato Trabajo.
  • Information that you enter on a third-party connection service (Google, LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.) if you choose to register or log in via these platforms. In this case, we only collect the elements you have authorized for sharing (for example: name, email address), according to the privacy settings you have configured on the relevant social network.

3.2 Automatic Data Collection
To enhance your browsing experience, Contrato Trabajo and its providers (including Firebase, Vercel, and Google Cloud) may use web storage objects (such as cookies, web beacons, and other tools) in order to:

  • Facilitate navigation,
  • Remember your preferences,
  • Improve your experience on the Site.

If you refuse the use of cookies, some features of the Site may become inaccessible or behave erratically.

These technologies are essential for the proper functioning of the Site, for security management, and for storing your settings (language, account, etc.). They are also used to:

  • Adapt the Site to your preferences and analyze its performance,
  • Improve the user-friendliness and efficiency of our pages,
  • Adjust the range of services offered to you,
  • Measure the impact of our marketing actions and detect potential malfunctions (system diagnostics).

3.2.1 IP Addresses
Your IP address (the number assigned to your computer to connect to the Internet) may be recorded for IT security and technical analysis purposes. We may also use it in an aggregated (anonymized) form to assess overall Site traffic and user behavior.

3.2.2 Cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device whenever you browse a website. Their use allows us to:

  • Facilitate your navigation,
  • Measure the audience of our pages,
  • Offer content tailored to your interests.

Different categories of cookies may be used:

  1. Strictly necessary cookies: essential for the proper functioning of the Site (access to secured areas, basic features). They cannot be disabled without significantly hindering the use of the platform.
  2. Performance cookies: collect information on how you interact with the Site (most visited pages, error messages, loading time) in order to optimize performance and usability.
  3. Functionality cookies: remember your choices and preferences (language, region, etc.) to personalize your experience. If you disable them, you may have to re-enter your preferences on each visit.
  4. Targeting or advertising cookies: designed to offer you content or promotions that match your interests. Disabling them simply prevents you from receiving targeted advertising, without reducing the total volume of ads.

We currently do not use advertising or targeting cookies. However, if such cookies are introduced in the future, we will update this policy to inform you of their use and provide you with the option to consent or refuse. Furthermore, we cannot be responsible for third-party cookies installed by external providers (for example, advertising or analytics partners), and we encourage you to consult their respective privacy policies for more information.

We may use cookies and other tracking technologies to improve your experience on our site. Before placing non-essential cookies (such as performance, functionality, and advertising cookies), we will request your explicit consent via a cookie banner visible during your first visit to the site. You can manage your cookie preferences at any time by adjusting your browser settings or by using the cookie management tool. Some features of the site may not function properly if you refuse the use of certain cookies.

3.2.3 Google Analytics
To better understand browsing habits, Contrato Trabajo may use the Google Analytics tool. If you wish to opt out of the collection and use of your data by Google Analytics, you can install the Google opt-out browser add-on or configure your browser to refuse associated cookies.

3.2.4 Web Beacons
Web beacons (small invisible image files) allow certain information to be tracked (your IP address, browser type, time of visit, etc.). We use them only in a lawful manner, for example to:

  • Measure the audience of an advertising campaign,
  • Check the effectiveness of our electronic communications (email open rates, etc.).

3.2.5 Location-Based Tools
Contrato Trabajo may roughly determine your geographic location (region, country) to provide you with more relevant services or information, or to evaluate the possibility of targeted job offers.

3.3 Social Media Widgets and Applications
Certain integrated buttons and widgets (for example: the Facebook “Like” button, X/Twitter widgets, etc.) may collect and use your information in accordance with the privacy policies of each social network. Similarly, forums, blogs, or content-sharing areas on Contrato Trabajo may make information you publish visible to other users, without our always having full control over these users.

4. Purposes of Using Your Information
The personal data that you provide to us is processed solely for the purpose for which it was collected, as described in this Charter. For example:

  • Manage your registration and tailor the Site’s content to your preferences,
  • Enable you to apply for job offers and facilitate the tracking of your applications,
  • Personalize your browsing when you log in with a third-party account (Google, LinkedIn, etc.).

If you provide your email address to create an account, we may use it to verify and confirm your identity (by sending a validation link via email).

5. Transfer of Data Outside the EU
We use several service providers for hosting and data processing, some of which may be located outside the European Union. To ensure an adequate level of protection, we have implemented the Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission with our processors.

In particular, we use the following services and ask that you consult their respective privacy policies before continuing to use our site:

  • Google Firebase: We use Firebase for authentication management, hosting certain databases, and analyzing user interactions on our site. Firebase may store data in the United States and in the European Economic Area (EEA). You can view their privacy policy here: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
  • Vercel: We use Vercel for hosting and deploying our website (React application). This service may store data in various data centers located in Europe and the United States. More information is available here: https://vercel.com/legal/privacy.
  • Google Cloud: Our databases and storage services are hosted on Google Cloud. Google Cloud applies high security standards and may process certain data outside the European Union. Their privacy policy is available here: https://cloud.google.com/security/privacy.

These providers may process some data outside the European Union. In such cases, Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission are in place to ensure a level of protection in line with GDPR requirements.

If you have specific concerns about how your data is handled, you can contact us at support@contrato-trabajo.es.

6. User Rights
If we process your personal data, you have the following rights:

  1. Access and Rectification: You may request access to information about you and require the correction of any incorrect data.
  2. Objection: You may object to the processing of your data if you believe we no longer have a legal basis to use it.
  3. Erasure or Restriction: You may request the erasure or restriction of your data in accordance with applicable legal conditions.
  4. Portability: You have the right to receive your data in a structured format or to request that it be transferred to a third party (subject to technical constraints).

To exercise these rights, please contact Contrato Trabajo at the following address: support@contrato-trabajo.es.

We will do our best to address your request within a reasonable time, subject to the applicable legal or regulatory provisions.

7. Retention Period for Data
We keep your personal data only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, in compliance with legal and regulatory obligations.

  • Account data: When you delete your account, all associated data is immediately and permanently deleted.
  • Data related to applications and exchanges between users: This information remains accessible as long as the relevant correspondence is retained by the users. It is deleted when the exchange is deleted by all parties concerned.
  • Technical and analytical data (cookies, logs, etc.): Certain cookies are kept for up to 13 months before being automatically deleted or anonymized. Technical logs used for security purposes may be retained longer if necessary.

In some cases, legal obligations or the need to manage a dispute may require us to keep certain information for a longer period.

If you would like more details on the retention of a particular type of data, you can contact us at support@contrato-trabajo.es.

8. Security, Integrity, and Accuracy of Data
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, loss, or disclosure. However, while we take all necessary measures, no system is infallible, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of the information. The user acknowledges and accepts that there is always a risk associated with transmitting data over the Internet. Access to your data is limited to those persons and providers who need it to carry out their duties. In the event of a data breach, we will take the necessary steps to remedy the situation as soon as possible.

9. Data Breach Management
If a breach of your personal data is identified, resulting in a risk to your rights and freedoms (for example: unauthorized access, data loss), we undertake to inform you within 72 hours of detecting the incident and to notify the Belgian Data Protection Authority, unless the breach is unlikely to result in a high risk.

10. Updates to the Privacy Charter
We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Charter at any time to comply with legislative changes or to improve our internal procedures. Any modification will be posted directly on this site, with the date of the last update indicated at the bottom of the page. In the event of substantial changes to this policy that may affect your use of the site, we will inform you via a notice on our site or by email.

We encourage you to check this page regularly to stay informed of any changes.

11. Questions and Complaints
If you have any questions or concerns regarding how we handle your personal information, you can write to us at: support@contrato-trabajo.es.

We undertake to acknowledge receipt of your email within 10 days and to provide a final response no later than one month after receiving your request, except in exceptional cases requiring a longer period.

In accordance with applicable regulations, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (APD) (https://www.autoriteprotectiondonnees.be) if you believe that the processing of your personal data infringes data protection legislation.

If you reside in another country of the European Union, you may also lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.
